.DISCUSSION...

ALTHOUGH MOISTENING IS OCCURRING IN THE UPPER LEVELS WITH HIGIH
CLOUDS STREAMING OVERHEAD...LOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN DRIER THROUGH
MONDAY. HAVE UPDATED FORECAST TO ACCOUNT FOR INCREASING HIGH CLOUDS
BOTH TONIGHT AND MONDAY. THESE CLOUDS SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO HOLD DOWN
MAX TEMPS A COUPLE DEGREES WHICH SHOULD ALSO KEEP RH VALUES FROM
DROPPING AS LOW AS THEY HAVE THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS (AND FOR AS
LONG). HENCE THE LOWER CONFIDENCE IN SEEING RED FLAG CONDS MONDAY.

BUT WITH LOW LEVEL RIDGE AXIS STILL OVERHEAD...EXPECT WINDS TO GO
VERY LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY CALM. AMOUNT OF HIGH CLOUDS MAY BE
SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT MUCH FOG BUT EXPECT TEMPS TO FALL AT OR NEAR
THEIR DEWPOINTS. COULD SEE LOCALLY REDUCED VSBYS TO <1 MILE ESP IN
AREAS OF LINGERING SMOKE FROM SMOLDERING FIRES.

WILL CONTINUE THE LOW (<20%) POPS OVER SOUTHERN 1/4 OF FA WHERE
SEA/LAKE BREEZE INTERACTIONS COULD SPARK AN ISOLATED SHRA/TSRA.

&&

.MARINE...SEAS 2FT OR LESS THRU MONDAY. LIGHT WINDS BENEATH THE SFC
RIDGE AXIS...DOMINATED BY LOCAL SEA AND LAND BREEZE CIRCS.

&&

.AVIATION...VFR WITH CIGS ABV 12K FT. AREAS OF SHALLOW MVFR MIST AND
LCL IFR FOG/STRATUS FROM ABOUT 08Z THRU ABOUT 12Z/13Z.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...WILL LET THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT MAKE FINAL DECISION ON
WHETHER TO UPGRADE OR CANCEL FWW FOR MONDAY GIVEN THE GRADUAL UPWARD
TREND IN SFC TDS AND MORE CLOUDS.
