.SYNOPSIS...SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL INCREASE ONCE
AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHEASTERN AND CENTRAL NEVADA. A DRIER
WESTERLY FLOW WILL BEGIN TO MOVE INTO EASTERN NEVADA FRIDAY FOR A
DECREASING RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE AGAIN OVER THE WEEKEND ACROSS EASTERN NEVADA.

SHORT TERM...RIGHT REAR QUADRANT OF A 60KT H3 JET PASSING OVER
SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF CWA HAS BROUGHT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO WHITE PINE COUNTY THIS MORNING...WHICH SHOULD
CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON BEFORE THE JET MOVES OFF TO THE NE.
ANOTHER 60-65KT H3 JET IS ALSO MOVING IN FROM THE WEST ACROSS
NORTHERN NEVADA...WHICH WILL BRING ADDED INSTABILITY TO MUCH OF THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF NEVADA THIS AFTERNOON...GENERALLY THE SAME AREAS
THAT HAD SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS YESTERDAY ...HOWEVER EXPECTING
AREAS EAST OF THE RUBIES TO STAY ACTIVE LATER INTO TONIGHT THAN LAST
NIGHT. GOOD WIND SHEAR AND INSTABILITY THIS AFTERNOON...COUPLED WITH
A MOIST AIRMASS OVER ELKO COUNTY COULD MAKE FOR AN INTERESTING
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORM-WISE. DRY AIR CONTINUES TO SLOWLY ADVANCE
EAST ACROSS NEVADA...WHICH WILL LESSEN THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ON
FRIDAY. AN AREA OF INSTABILITY INCREASES ACROSS MAINLY WHITE PINE
COUNTY ON SATURDAY WITH THETA-E RIDGING AND MOISTURE INCREASING FOR
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SE CORNER OF CWA...WITH
ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER MOST OF THE REST OF
CWA...THE EXCEPTION BEING HUMBOLDT COUNTY WHERE THE DRIER MORE
STABLE AIR SHOULD REMAIN STORM FREE. ROOD

.LONG TERM...SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...PREVIOUS
FORECAST IN GREAT SHAPE. ONLY CHANGES MADE TO LONG TERM FORECAST
WERE THE FIRST FEW PERIODS. INTRODUCED SLIGHT CHANCE WORDING FOR
SUNDAY WEST TO THE REV BORDER GIVEN MID LEVEL MOISTURE TRENDING
SLIGHTLY WEST BY THE GFS MODEL. LOWERED POPS FOR THE SUNDAY NIGHT
PERIOD SLIGHTLY TO TAKE OUT WORDING. NOT CONVINCED ABOUT GFS
PLACEMENT OF STRONG SHORTWAVE MOVING OVER THE AREA AT THAT TIME.
WILL KEEP AN EYE ON LATER MODEL RUNS. OTHERWISE GOING FORECAST IN
VERY GOOD SHAPE AS RUN CONSISTENCY REMAINS IN DECENT AGREEMENT. RA

.AVIATION...EXPECT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VISIBILITIES DOWN TO
1-2SM...+TSRA AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 35KT BETWEEN KLAS-KEKO AS
WELL AS THE KLOL-KEKO-KSLC ROUTE...CONDITIONS IMPROVE AFTER 04Z. RA
