A MEAN UPPER TROUGH POSITION WILL PERSIST OVER THE CENTRAL
PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ALASKA THROUGH FRIDAY. SHORT RANGE
MODEL PROJECTIONS ARE SIMILAR THROUGH FRIDAY. CONFIDENCE
IN MEDIUM RANGE FORECASTS IS LOW WITH CONSIDERABLE
DIVERGENCE BETWEEN MODEL RUNS BEYOND FRIDAY.

A 984 MB SURFACE LOW JUST SOUTHWEST OF BETHEL WILL MOVE
TO NEAR SELAWIK BY WEDNESDAY MORNING WEAKENING TO 990 MB.
BY EARLY THURSDAY MORNING THE LOW WILL OPEN UP INTO A LOW
PRESSURE TROUGH OVER THE CENTRAL BROOKS RANGE.

GUSTY SOUTH WINDS ARE OCCURRING IN ALASKA RANGE PASSES AND
IN THE BIG DELTA AREA AHEAD OF THE SURFACE FRONT. WINDS
WILL DIMINISH BY LATE TONIGHT AFTER THE FRONTAL PASSAGE.
