AREAS AFFECTED...SCNTRL TX

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL

VALID 252253Z - 260030Z

TSTMS ARE CONTINUING TO INCREASE EAST OF THE PECOS AND NORTH OF THE
RIO GRANDE IN SCNTRL TX. A SMALL SEVERE TSTM WATCH MAY BE NEED OVER
THIS AREA SHORTLY.

STRONG INSTABILITY THAT DEVELOPED IN THE WAKE OF EARLIER CLOUD COVER
HAS PROMPTED RAPID TSTM DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE EDWARDS PLATEAU OVER
THE LAST 2 HOURS. LOW LEVEL ELY FLOW OF HIGHER THETAE AIR AND
BROADLY DIFFLUENT UPPER LEVEL FLOW SHOULD SUSTAIN CONVECTION THROUGH
THE EVENING. ALTHOUGH LOW THROUGH MID LEVEL FLOW IS RATHER WEAK AND
SHOULD OFFSET SUPERCELL TORNADO POTENTIAL...DIRECTIONAL AND DEEP
LAYER SHEAR SHOULD SUPPORT ROTATING STORMS WITH THE PRIMARY HAZARD
BEING LARGE HAIL.
