THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS CONTINUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL DAVIS COUNTY IN UTAH
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...LAYTON...FARMINGTON

* UNTIL 545 PM MDT

* AT 437 PM MDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY   
RAIN OVER FARMINGTON. THE AREA OF HEAVY RAIN WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.

* THE THUNDERSTORM WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL REMAIN IN THE 
FARMINGTON AREA THROUGH 530 PM MDT

THE FARMINGTON CITY FIRE CHIEF REPORTED FLOODING AND MUD FLOWS WERE 
OCCURRING FROM THE FARMINGTON CANYON BURN AREA AND THEY WERE 
EVACUATING EMERGENCY PERSONNEL FROM THE MOUTH OF THE CANYON. 

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS BELOW THE BURN AREA SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO 
PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING 
WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR 
VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.
