* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CANADIAN COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
  CLEVELAND COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
  GRADY COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
  MCCLAIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
  OKLAHOMA COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

* AT 155 AM CDT...VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS REPORTED FROM THUNDERSTORMS   
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 13 MILES SOUTHWEST OF AMBER TO THE 
OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AREA. THE LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING SLOWLY 
SOUTHEASTWARD. RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL 
CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR TWO. THIS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN AREAS 
OF FLOODING...ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AREAS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLES INTO
AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
AS LITTLE AS 6 INCHES OF WATER MAY CAUSE YOU TO LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR
VEHICLE. TWO FEET OF RUSHING WATER CAN CARRY AWAY MOST VEHICLES
INCLUDING SUVS AND PICKUP TRUCKS. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER
SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
