THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN GAINES COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS
  LEA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 915 PM MST(1015 PM CST)

AT 610 PM MST OR 710 PM CST LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS IN GAINES 
COUNTY CONTINUED TO REPORT HIGHWAY 214 CLOSED FROM DENVER CITY 
TO SEMINOLE. IN ADDITION HIGHWAY 62/180 FROM THE STATE LINE TO 
9 MILES WEST OF SEMINOLE CONTINUED TO BE REPORTED CLOSED DUE 
TO FLOODING. 

AT 610 PM MST OR 710 PM CST THE LEA COUNTY SHERIFF HAD REPORTED 
HIGHWAY 18 CLOSED FROM HOBBS TO EUNICE AND HIGHWAY 8 CLOSED FROM 
MONUMENT TO OIL CENTER.
 
AT 615 PM MST OR 715 PM CST DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE
SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS...VERY SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING 
FLASH FLOODING ACROSS WESTERN GAINES AND LEA COUNTIES. THESE 
ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL AGGRAVATE THE FLASH FLOODING.

FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES...LOW
WATER CROSSINGS...AND LOW LYING FARMLAND IS LIKELY. DO NOT DRIVE
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNED AREA...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
