NORTHEASTERN WRIGHT COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA. * UNTIL 615 PM CDT. * AT 542 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR BELMOND...OR 32 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MASON CITY...AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. * THE TORNADO WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF NORTHEASTERN WRIGHT COUNTY AND IT WILL BE NEAR BELMOND AT 600 PM. THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
