AREAS AFFECTED...FRONT RANGE AND NERN PLAINS OF CO

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL

VALID 172205Z - 172300Z

...ISOLD TSTMS MAY PRODUCE A DAMAGING WIND GUST OR MARGINALLY
SEVERE HAIL THIS EVENING...

HIGH BASED TSTM HAS INITIATED ALONG INTERSECTING BOUNDARIES OVER
SRN WELD COUNTY WHERE CAP HAS BEEN BROKEN GIVEN INCREASED SURFACE
CONVERGENCE AND BOUNDARY LAYER WARMING. THIS STORM APPEARS TO BE
INTENSIFYING. DEEP LAYER SHEAR IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT FOR
SUPERCELLS...BUT BUOYANCY REMAINS RATHER MEAGER WITH MLCAPES OF
OF 300-500 J/KG. IT IS LIKELY THAT OTHER TSTMS MAY FORM INVOF
DEN AS UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE TROUGH TRANSLATES TOWARD THE REGION
THIS EVENING. GIVEN LARGE DEW POINT DEPRESSIONS...DAMAGING WINDS
WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT...THOUGH MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL WILL BE
POSSIBLE ALONG WITH A SLIM CHANGE FOR A LANDSPOUT. ACTIVITY MAY
INCREASE AND MOVE ENEWD INTO THE NERN CO PLAINS LATER THIS
EVENING WITH A CONTINUED DAMAGING WIND THREAT.	PRIND THAT A WW
WILL NOT BE REQUIRED GIVEN ISOLD NATURE OF THE SEVERE THREAT.
