VALID 271929Z - 272100Z

FORWARD PROPAGATING SEVERE MCS CONTINUES TO MOVE EASTWARD THROUGH WW
807 WITH ENHANCED GROWTH SOUTHEASTWARD INTO THE INSTABILITY AXIS
DURING THE PAST HOUR. 100MB MLCAPE GREATER THAN 2000 J/KG REMAINS IN
PLACE IN THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE WATCH. IT IS UNCLEAR HOW
REPRESENTATIVE THE 18Z ILX SOUNDING WAS FOR PRE MCS
CONDITIONS..MLCAPE OF APPROXIMATELY 1000 J/KG WAS OBSERVED WITH A
700-500 LAPSE RATE OF 6C/KM. WV IMAGERY DOES SUGGEST THAT A NARROW
EAST WEST PLUME OF STEEPER LASE RATES MAY BE LOCATED SLIGHTLY NORTH
OF ILX NEAR THE PATH OF THE MCS. MID LEVEL WESTERLY WINDS OF 40-50
KT APPARENT AS THE MCS PASSED DSM DVN AND LOT ARE SUGGESTIVE OF A
REAR INFLOW JET THAT WILL HELP CONTINUE THE SEVERE WIND THREAT.
