THUNDERSTORM WATCH MAY BE NEEDED SHORTLY FOR PORTIONS OF
E-CENTRAL GA AND PORTIONS OF SC.

A LINE OF STRONG/SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDS FROM EAST OF ATL TO
NEAR LGC AND IS MOVING EWD AT 55-60 KT. THE CURRENT MOTION WILL
TAKE THIS LINE EAST OF WW 29 SHORTLY AFTER 05Z. ALTHOUGH SURFACE
BASED INSTABILITY IS NOT EXPECTED TO REACH AS FAR NWD AS ERN GA
AND SC...THE BOUNDARY LAYER IS RELATIVELY SHALLOW. A MOIST AND
UNSTABLE AIR MASS IS LOCATED ABOVE THE BOUNDARY WITH MUCAPE
VALUES AROUND 1000 J/KG. ENVIRONMENTAL WINDS/SHEAR ARE QUITE
STRONG AND WINDS JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE WILL STRENGTHEN FROM 40
TO 60 KT OVERNIGHT. THE LINE IS EXPECTED TO BE MAINTAINED EWD
