THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  THE HOPE MILLS AREA OF CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 400 PM EDT

* AT 1206 PM EDT.

THE DAM ON HOPE MILLS LAKE IN THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE TOWN OF 
HOPE MILLS HAS BREACHED. A REST HOME AND NEARBY RESIDENTS DOWNSTREAM 
FROM THE DAM HAVE EVACUATED. AN EVACUATION SHELTER FOR RESIDENTS HAS 
BEEN SET UP AT THE SOUTHVIEW SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. 
  
PERSONS LIVING ALONG HOPE MILLS LAKE AND IMMEDIATELY DOWNSTREAM FROM 
THE DAM SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW FLOODING WILL OCCUR 
RAPIDLY.
