THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON KY HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
MONTGOMERY COUNTY.
* UNTIL 745 PM EST.
AT 345 PM...LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WAS FALLING OVER THE REGION.
RADAR INDICATES THAT AROUND ONE HALF OF AN INCH OF RAIN HAD FALLEN
IN THE PAST HOUR OVER SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY. ANY ADDITIONAL
RAIN WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING DUE TO SATURATED GROUND.
MOUNT STERLING POLICE REPORTED THAT BETWEEN ONE TO TWO FEET OF WATER
WAS FLOWING OVER HINKSTON PIKE IN MOUNT STERLING. AT
JEFFERSONVILLE...ABOUT ONE FOOT OF WATER WAS FLOWING OVER HIGHWAY
460 NEAR THE INTERSECTION WITH HIGHWAY 599.
