.SHORT TERM...THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY.
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TO THE WEST AND UPPER LEVEL HIGH TO SOUTH WILL
CONTINUE TO BRING NORTHEAST MONTANA SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WITH SHORT
WAVES MOVING THROUGH THE AREA FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
ATMOSPHERE IS STILL UNSTABLE SO THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT.
UPPER LEVEL PATTERN REMAINS FOR TOMORROW EVENING...ALSO.

PATTERN SIMILAR FOR FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT.  ON SATURDAY...THE
UPPER LEVEL HIGH RETROGRADES WEST.  WITH THE UPPER LEVEL HIGH
FURTHER WEST NORTHEAST MONTANA WILL HAVE MORE OF A ZONAL FLOW.
YET...STORMS ARE STILL POSSIBLE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE BEGINS TO MOVE INTO NORTHEAST MONTANA.  THE MODELS ARE
IN GENERAL AGREEMENT.  TEMPERATURES NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS WILL BE
ABOVE NORMAL AND HOT IN MOST AREAS.  TLSJR

.LONG TERM...SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY
TROUGH REMAINS NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES AND IS
FORECAST TO DRIFT VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD DURING THE COURSE OF NEXT
WEEK. THUS, LONGWAVE TROUGH OFFSHORE THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST
WILL REMAIN PRETTY MUCH IN PLACE THROUGH NEXT WEEK. SHORTWAVES WILL
EJECT EAST AND NORTHEAST ACROSS THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN
ROCKY MOUNTAINS THROUGH THIS WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK WITH TIMING OF
EACH SHORTWAVE QUITE DIFFICULT. STRONG DAYTIME HEATING AND ABUNDANT
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL PROVIDE INSTABILITY FOR THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT ALONG AND AHEAD OF THESE SHORTWAVES AS THEY MOVE
NORTHEAST ACROSS THE CWFA. ONE SUCH SHORTWAVE IS INDICATED TO MOVE
ACROSS THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY SO POPS HAVE BEEN
CONTINUED FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY

MOIST SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO BRING THE SLIGHT RISK

NIGHT. STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LARGE HAIL WILL REMAIN THE BIGGEST
