THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  MEDINA
  UVALDE
  FRIO
  ZAVALA
  MAVERICK
  DIMMIT

* UNTIL 600 AM CDT

* AT 302 AM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA   
  OF VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING ACROSS MUCH OF THE RIO GRANDE 
  PLAINS...AND SPREADING NORTHEAST INTO PARTS OF THE BALCONES 
  ESCARPMENT NEAR HONDO. THESE RAINS ARE DRIFTING GENERALLY NORTH AT 
  AROUND 15 MPH.

RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR REMAIN POSSIBLE...AND THIS 
IS OCCURRING OVER SOME AREAS THAT HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED RAINFALL 
AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES. EXPECT NUMEROUS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE 
WARNED AREA EARLY THIS MORNING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO 
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO 
GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING 
WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
