THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  BEXAR
  MEDINA

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT

* AT 1030 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED BANDS OF 
  TRAINING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL... 
  MOVING WEST AT 40 MPH ACROSS SOUTHERN PARTS OF BEXAR AND MEDINA 
  COUNTIES.

THESE BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY AFFECT THE WARNED AREA THROUGH 
1130 PM. DOPPLER RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES HAS ALREADY 
BEEN INDICATED OVER SOUTHERN BEXAR COUNTY. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 
INCHES OF RAIN IS LIKELY OVER THESE SAME AREAS WITH RAINFALL TOTALS 
APPROACHING 4 INCHES BY 1130 PM. THESE HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL 
LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO 
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO 
GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING 
WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM YANCEY TO LEMING AND CAMPBELLTON. 
RAINFALL RATES ARE ESTIMATED AT 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR WITHIN THIS 
BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS.   

CLAUDETTE IS NOW CENTERED JUST SOUTH OF DILLEY AND IS MOVING WEST AT 
10 TO 15 MPH.  VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE IN THE VICINITY OF 
THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION.
