SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   EASTERN IDAHO                              
   WESTERN WYOMING                            

EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 400 PM UNTIL 900
PM MDT.

HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 80
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 90 STATUTE MILES
EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 70 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF BIG PINEY
WYOMING TO 45 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF WEST YELLOWSTONE MONTANA.

REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.

DISCUSSION...LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS WILL
CONTINUE TO TRACK NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD INTO PARTS OF WESTERN WY AND
EASTERN ID DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.  THIS ACTIVITY HAS PRODUCED
SIGNIFICANT WIND ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL UT.  SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY
AND LARGE SURFACE T-TD SPREADS WILL LIKELY MAINTAIN RISK OF
DAMAGING WINDS.

TO 1 INCH EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 70 KNOTS.
