THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DAVIDSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 300 AM EDT

* AT 159 AM EDT RADAR INDICATED OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN WITHIN THE 
PAST HOUR SOUTH OF LEXINGTON.

HEAVY RAINS HAVE PRODUCED OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN IN THE VICINITY OF 
N C 47 NEAR HIGH ROCK LAKE. STORMS HAVE BEEN NEARLY STATIONARY AND 
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN DAVIDSON COUNTY 
EAST OF HIGH ROCK LAKE AND NORTH OF DENTON.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS. FLOOD WATERS ARE 
ESPECIALLY HARD TO SEE AT NIGHT. IF TRAVELING...REDUCE SPEEDS AND 
USE EXTREME CAUTION. RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ON THE 
ALERT AND READY TO MOVE TO HIGH GROUND IF FLOOD WATERS DEVELOP 
LOCALLY.
