* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RANDOLPH COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 145 AM EDT

* AT 1115 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  FLASH FLOODING IN THE WARNED AREA.

* RADAR ESTIMATES OF OVER 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL SINCE 7 PM OCCURRING 
AFTER 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THE AREA EARLIER TODAY IS LIKELY 
CAUSING FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS IN THE WARNING AREA.

POLECAT CREEK...DEEP RIVER...CARAWAY CREEK...AND BACK CREEK WILL 
LIKELY OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS NEAR THE COMMUNITIES OF RANDLEMAN... 
CENTRAL FALLS...AND AREAS NORTHWEST OF ASHEBORO.  HIGHWAYS 220 AND 
64 THROUGH THIS AREA MAY ALSO BE EXPERIENCING HIGHWAY FLOODING IN 
ADDITION TO FLOODING OF SECONDARY ROADS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
