* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHWEST ALAMANCE COUNTY AND
  SOUTHEAST GUILFORD COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 145 AM EDT

* AT 1040 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THE LIKELIHOOD OF FLASH FLOODING IN THE WARNED AREA.

* RADAR ESTIMATES OF OVER 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL SINCE 7 PM OCCURRING 
AFTER 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THE AREA EARLIER TODAY IS LIKELY 
CAUSING FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS IN THE WARNING AREA.

STINKING QUARTER CREEK AND BIG ALAMANCE CREEK WILL LIKELY OVERFLOW 
THEIR BANKS NEAR THE COMMUNITIES OF CLIMAX...KLIMESVILLE...ROCK 
CREEK...AND ALAMANCE AND NEAR HIGHWAYS 421...61 AND 62 THROUGH THE 
AREA.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
