THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SAMPSON COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 900 PM EDT

* AT 705 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
  RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA. THESE SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE
  PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE  WARNED AREA.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RAPIDLY FLOOD...POSSIBLY WASHING OUT 
ROADS AND FLOODING NEARBY LOW AREAS. LITTLE COHARIE CREEK...GREAT 
COHARIE CREEK AND THE SIX RUNS CREEK MAY OVERRUN THEIR BANKS. TRAVEL 
ALONG HIGHWAY 701 AND HIGHWAY 421 SOUTH OF CLINTON...AND HIGHWAY 24 
WEST OF CLINTON WILL BE HAZARDOUS.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
