CURRENT 88D RADAR INDICATED A BATCH OF CONVECTION MOVING OUT OF NE
AR. RUC HINTED THIS WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A 500MB VORT MAX (ASSOCIATED
WITH THE SHEAR ZONE) OVER S CENTRAL MO WHICH IS PROGGED TO SLIP S
INTO N CENTRAL AR BY SUNSET. IT WAS TAPPING INTO COPIOUS LOWER LEVEL
ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE STILL AVAILABLE IN THE S HALF OF THE FCST AREA.

WITH GENERAL RIDGING OCCURRING AT THE SFC AND 850MB...THE MODELS
INDICATE THAT THE VORT SHOULD MOVE INTO TN WHILE DRIER AIR ALOFT
FILTERS INTO THE S PART OF THE FCST AREA AFT 00Z. HOWEVER...AVN
WANTS TO LINGER THE EFFECTS OF THE PERTUBATION INTO WED...WHICH IS
REFLECTED BY RATHER HIGH POPS IN THE MAV GUIDANCE. WILL AGREE WITH
PREVIOUS SHIFT TO GO WITH THE MORE CONSISTENT NGM/ETA SOLUTION...
MESOETA TIME HEIGHTS SUPPORT THIS WITH INDICATIONS OF DRY AIR ALOFT
MOVING IN AFT 00Z. WILL PROBABLY KEEP POP MENTION OUT OF FIRST
PERIOD ZONES UNLESS PRESENT SHWS/TSTMS APPEAR TO PERSIST INTO THE
EARLY EVE.

TOWARD THE END OF THE WORKWEEK...NRN STREAM REMAINS MAINLY ZONAL

DOWN. WILL AGREE WITH NCEP THAT THIS SCENARIO SHOULD BE CONSIDERED
WITH CAUTION. I DONT EXPECT TO CHANGE THE EXTENDED TEMPS MUCH...AND
WILL LEAVE IT DRY.
