THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DAVIDSON COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF NASHVILLE

* UNTIL 600 PM CDT

* AT 458 PM, RAINFALL WAS TAPERING OFF ACROSS THE COUNTY, WITH ONLY  
  LIGHT TO MODERATE SHOWERS COVERING THE MAJORITY OF THE NASHVILLE   
  METRO AREA. STILL, RUNOFF FROM PREVIOUS HEAVY RAINFALL POSES A     
  CONTINUED DANGER IN SOME AREAS. AT 405 PM, BROWNS CREEK AT THE     
  FAIRGROUNDS WAS REPORTED OUT OF ITS BANK, AND NUMEROUS STREETS      
  REMAIN FLOODED.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. MOST 
FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES, 
DIPS, OR OTHER LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROAD. NEVER TRY TO CROSS
A FLOWING STREAM, EVEN A SMALL ONE, ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER, 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
