NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LITTLE ROCK AR
300 PM CDT SUN JUL 14 2002

THERE REALLY ARENT MUCH CHANGES TO TALK ABOUT IN THE SHORT
TERM...OR REALLY THE EXTENDED FOR THAT MATTER. SURFACE FRONT NOW
FROM BETWEEN KDEQ-KTXK TO AROUND KPBF PER LATEST SURFACE OBS...AND IT
REALLY HASNT MOVED MUCH SINCE THIS MORNING. SCATTERED CONVECTION
FIRED UP THIS AFTERNOON CLOSE TO THE FRONT...MAINLY OVER CENTRAL
ARKANSAS.

WILL HAVE 50 PERCENT POPS TONIGHT FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTH...AND 40
PERCENT POPS NORTHERN ZONES WHERE THINGS ARE SLIGHTLY MORE STABLE.
EXPECT PATCHY FOG TO FORM ONCE AGAIN TONIGHT DUE TO WET GROUND AND
LIGHT WINDS.

PRECIPITABLE WATER IS NEAR TWO INCHES...AND LOW AND MID LEVEL FLOW
IS STILL RELATIVELY WEAK. STORMS THIS EVENING MAY PRODUCE BRIEF
HEAVY RAINFALL...BUT AM NOT EXPECTING MUCH OF ANYTHING ELSE.

HAVE USED A BLEND OF FWC/MAV/MET TEMPS. TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE
DIFFICULT DUE TO VARIABLE CLOUDINESS.

RAIN CHANCES CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY. GULF HIGH PRESSURE PUSHES
ONSHORE ON COASTAL LOUISIANA/MISSISSIPPI ON TUESDAY. THIS WILL PUSH
UPPER LOW OFF TO THE NORTHWEST. FAIRLY DECENT UPPER TROF
FORMS...AND UPPER LEVEL DYNAMICS GET GOING PRETTY GOOD OUT AHEAD OF
IT. AS HIGH MOVES ALONG THE COAST...IT SHOULD ACT TO PUSH UPPER
SYSTEM OFF TO THE EAST AND DIMINISH RAIN CHANCES WEDNESDAY EVENING.

SHOULD SEE SOME DIURNAL THUNDERSTORMS ON THURSDAY...AS MOISTURE WILL
STILL BE ABUNDANT...AND UPPER SUPPORT WILL BE PRESENT. HIGH PRESSURE
WILL MOVE IN BRIEFLY. WILL LEAVE POPS OUT FOR FRIDAY...AS THERE
DOESNT APPEAR TO BE MUCH UPWARD MOTION. NORTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL SET
UP DUE TO HIGH OVER WEST...AND WILL BRING THE NEXT SYSTEM. SHOULD
SEE TSRA DURING THE DAY SATURDAY. UPPER HIGH WILL EXERT ITS
INFLUENCE ON SUNDAY...AND I WILL LEAVE A DRY FORECAST FOR THEN.

ONLY MADE MINOR TWEAKS TO EXTENDED TEMPERATURES.
