NORTHERN GREAT BASIN FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ELKO NV 225 PM PDT THU JUN 20 2002 SYNOPSIS...A SERIES OF WEAK WEATHER SYSTEMS WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTHERN NEVADA AND EXIT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE STATE ON SATURDAY. SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY WILL BE WARM AND DRY EXCEPT FOR A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. DISCUSSION...WEAK SHORTWAVE CURRENTLY MOVING NORTH THROUGH THE STATE WILL CONTINUE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING...LEAST IN WHITEPINE AND HUMBOLDT COUNTIES. A SECOND WAVE CURRENTLY ON THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL MOVE THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT.
