FROM THE MATAGORDA BAY AREA SOUTHWARD INTO THE GULF TO OFF TAMPICO.
THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE TRANSPORTED NORTH ALONG THE MODERATE H85
FLOW. WESTERN HALF OF CWA SHOULD SEE THE HEAVIEST PRECIP TODAY...BUT
SINCE THEY HAVENT SEEN TOO MUCH THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS WERE NOT
ANTICIPATING ANY WIDESPREAD FLOOD PROBLEMS ATTM. WILL CONTINUE TO
MONITOR THOUGH WITH PWS AROUND 2.3 AND 88-D ESTIMATED RAINFALL
RATES UP TO 3/HOUR CURRENTLY IN THE GULF. MODELS WANT TO ADVECT
SOME DRIER LLVL AIR INTO THE ERN ZONES THIS AFTN...BUT WITH
WIDESPREAD COVERAGE ALREADY THERE ITS KINDA HARD TO KNOCK THE POPS
DOWN. MAY NEED TO DO AN AFTERNOON UPDATE IF IT DOES TAPER DOWN THEN.
OTHERWISE...ONGOING ZONES IN GOOD SHAPE AND SEE NO NEED FOR AN
UPDATE RIGHT NOW.
