THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  CAVALIER COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA AND
  PEMBINA COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA.

* UNTIL 100 AM CDT.

* AT 959 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS CAVALIER AND 
  PEMBINA COUNTIES. THESE AREAS HAD RECEIVED HEAVY RAIN FALLS THIS 
  EVENING.

* LANGDON...PEMBINA...WALHALLA...CAVALIER AND CLYDE WILL BE AFFECTED 
  BY THE HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH LOCALLY 
  HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS 
  SUNDAY. RESIDENTS ALONG THE TONGUE AND PEMBINA RIVERS...THEIR 
  TRIBUTARIES AND DRAINAGE BASINS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE LIKELIHOOD 
  OF FLOODING. RURAL AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEMS WILL LIKELY BE 
  STRESSED TO OVERFLOWING.

ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS 
AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS WILL LIKELY FLOOD. CAMPERS AND 
OTHER OUTDOOR RECREATORS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW.

THIS WARNING EXTENDS THE EARLIER WARNING FOR NORTHERN CAVALIER 
COUNTY AND UPGRADES THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM STATEMENT FOR PEMBINA 
COUNTY TO A WARNING.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
