THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  SOUTHERN BELTRAMI COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...  
  HUBBARD COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...
  BECKER COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA AND
  CLAY COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA.

* UNTIL 300 AM CDT.

* AT 944 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE...MOVEMENT WAS TO
  THE SOUTHEAST AT 5 MPH.

* BEMIDJI...DETROIT LAKES...OGEMA...OSAGE...FELTON AND PARK RAPIDS 
  WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 
  INCHES PER HOUR WILL FALL WITH THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS. RAPID 
  RUNOFF DUE TO SATURATED SOILS WILL CAUSE FLOODING TO OCCUR IN A 
  SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE 
  ACROSS THESE AREAS WHICH WILL FURTHER AGGRAVATE THE DEVELOPING 
  FLOODING SITUATION.


MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
