THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  EASTERN MARSHALL COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA...
  PENNINGTON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA AND
  RED LAKE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA.

* UNTIL 915 PM CDT.

* AT 516 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED       
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS EASTERN 
  MARSHALL...NORTHERN RED LAKE AND MUCH OF PENNINGTON 
  COUNTIES. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

* THIEF RIVER FALLS...RED LAKE FALLS...WYLIE...VIKING AND TERREBONNE 
  WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 
  INCHES PER HOUR HAVE BEEN INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR AND SATELLITE 
  IN THE HIGHLANDING...GATZKE AND MIDDLE RIVER AREAS. FLOODING IS 
  LIKELY ALONG PORTIONS OF THE MUD RIVER IN THE AGASSIZ WILDLIFE 
  REFUGE AS WELL AS THE TRIBUTARIES OF THE CLEARWATER AND RED LAKE 
  RIVERS. LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS WILL BE AFFECTED BY

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
