THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JACKSON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL IOWA
  JONES COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL IOWA

* UNTIL 1015 AM CDT

* AT 521 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE LOCATED OVER THE
  WARNED AREA.

* NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE 1 TO 2 
INCHES OF RAINFALL WITH A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH THE 
AREA.  JONES AND JACKSON COUNTIES HAVE ALREADY HAD 2 TO 3 INCHES OF 
RAIN OVERNIGHT.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS 
AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES...AS 
WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO WATER COVERED ROADWAYS. THE WATER MAY
BE TOO DEEP TO CROSS SAFELY OR THE ROAD COULD BE WASHED OUT. VEHICLES
CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
