WEATHER PATTERN WILL TREND TOWARDS STABILIZATION THE NEXT FEW DAYS LOW
LEVEL MOISTURE FIELDS WILL NOT SHOW MUCH AIRMASS CHANGE. HOW MUCH RAIN
FALLS TODAY AND TONIGHT MAY DICTATE HOW MUCH DIURNAL SHOWER ACTIVITY
OCCURS...ESPECIALLY FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY. CURRENTLY WATCHING
CONVECTIVE TRENDS AND AM NOT CONFIDENT WITH MODEL SOLUTIONS AS A LOT
OF STRONG CONVECTION HAS DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHWEST WYOMING AND SOUTHEAST
IDAHO...AND WOULD NOT EXPECT THE UPPER WAVE TO BE FILLING QUITE AS
FAST AS PROGS INDICATE. WILL CONTINUE THE CURRENT ACTIVE WEATHER
FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AS MOISTURE CONTENT IN THE AREA IS QUITE HIGH AND
AIRMASS SHOULD STAY UNSTABLE UNTIL THE UPPER TROF PASSES...THOUGH THE
BEST LIFT SHOULD BE OCCURING IN THE LATE AFTERNOON. FOR SUNDAY THE
UPPER TROF STARTS OFF OVER CENTRAL MONTANA AND SLOWLY LIFTS ACROSS
NORTHEAST MONTANA. WITH THE STRONG CONVECTION UPSTREAM...PREFER THE
SLOWER AVN TIMING AND WILL HAVE SCATTERED POPS FOR MOST OF THE AREA ON
SUNDAY. SHORTWAVE RIDGING WILL HELP DISSIPATE ACTIVITY ON SUNDAY NIGHT
BUT MONDAY SHOWS ZONAL FLOW WITH LITTLE REAL AIRMASS CHANGE AT THE LOW
LEVELS. WILL PUT A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS FOR MONDAY AS
DESTABILZATION SHOUDL OCCUR WITH WARMER TEMPERATURES. TUESDAY LOOKS

FRI WITH THE UKMET WANTING TO PLACE A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE
NORTHERN ROCKIES. WILL LEAN TOWARD THE MRF AND ECMWF AS SW FLOW ALOFT
WITH SHORTWAVES IS A GOOD PATTERN FOR US THIS TIME OF YEAR. THIS PATTERN
CONTINUES INTO EARLY FRI. HAVE DECIDED TO INTRODUCE POPS ALL AREAS WED
AND THUR WITH JUST THE EAST ON FRI. BY FRI...HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED
OVER CENTRAL COLORADO BEGINS TO BUILD ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF
THE FORECAST AREA. THIS RIDGE WILL RETROGRADE INTO SOUTHERN IDAHO SAT
AND SUN PROVIDING A NW FLOW ALOFT ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA. A WEAK WAVE
MAY ROTATE AROUND THE RIDGE WITHIN THIS FLOW LATE SAT INTO SUN BUT
WILL NOT INTRODUCE POPS AT THIS TIME. WILL LOWER POPS A FEW DEGREES
EACH DAY DUE TO MORE CLOUDS AND POSSIBLE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
HOWEVER...READINGS WILL STILL BE ABOUT 8-10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR
