THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SHELBY COUNTY IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 730 PM CDT

* AT 406 PM CDT...FLASH FLOODING WAS REPORTED ACROSS SHELBY
  COUNTY. AT 400 PM...SHELBY COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED WATER OVER
  NUMEROUS ROADS.  ROUTE 16 BETWEEN TOWER HILL AND SHELBYVILLE HAD
  WATER OVER THE ROADWAY. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
  ESTIMATED THAT 2-3 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER THE AREA SINCE
  2PM.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS
  SHELBY COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM 1 TO 2
  INCHES BY 5PM. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH
  FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING NEAR STREAMS...CREEKS AND
NEARBY FARMLAND. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS ON COUNTY ROADS AND IN LOW
LYING AREAS. NEVER CROSS AREAS IN WHICH WATER COVERS THE ROADS.
