TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

  CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS                              

EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT FROM 630 PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF DEL RIO TEXAS TO 115
MILES NORTHEAST OF JUNCTION TEXAS.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.

SEWD INTO THE REGION THIS EVENING.  GIVEN MODERATELY UNSTABLE
ENVIRONMENT AND STRONG DEEP LAYER SHEAR A FEW SUPERCELLS AND
TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE.
