TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   FLORIDA PANHANDLE                            
   AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS                     

EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 330 PM UNTIL 1100
PM CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 40 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND
SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF PENSACOLA FLORIDA
TO 30 MILES SOUTHEAST OF TALAHASSEE FLORIDA.

COAST...WITH LOCAL VAD PROFILES SHOWING SLOWLY INCREASE VERTICAL
WIND SHEAR.  BAND OF STRONGEST SHEAR WILL LIKELY MOVE ASHORE IN THE
NEXT FEW HOURS WITH AN ENHANCED THREAT OF BRIEF TORNADOES...
ESPECIALLY NEAR THE COAST.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 0.5 INCH...EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 70 KNOTS.  A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 550.
