TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

WESTERN UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN                           
NORTHERN WISCONSIN                          

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING FROM 900 PM UNTIL
200 AM CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 90 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF RHINELANDER WISCONSIN TO
15 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF IRONWOOD MICHIGAN.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

DISCUSSION...SUPERCELLS ALONG THE WARM FRONT IN NW WI SHOULD
CONTINUE EWD FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS...WITH THE THREAT OF A COUPLE
OF TORNADOES ALONG THE BOUNDARY WHERE LOW-LEVEL SHEAR IS MAXIMIZED. 
OTHERWISE...THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS GIVEN THE STRONG
VERTICAL SHEAR AND MODERATE INSTABILITY.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES.  EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
