TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   SOUTHEAST ALABAMA                            
   THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE                           
   SOUTHWEST GEORGIA                            

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON FROM 1245 PM UNTIL 500 PM CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 60 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 80 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND
SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF CRESTVIEW FLORIDA
TO 20 MILES SOUTH OF VALDOSTA GEORGIA.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

DISCUSSION...THREAT FOR ISOLATED TORNADOES EXPECTED TO PERSIST IN
REGION OF BACKED LOW LEVEL FLOW/HIGH BOUNDARY LAYER DEWPOINTS IN NE
QUADRANT OF REMNANT CIRCULATION FROM T.S. ALLISON.   ISOLATED
STORMS HAVE DEVELOPED DURING THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS AHEAD OF
EXISTING SQUALL LINE AS A RESULT OF SURFACE HEATING/SUSTAINED
CONVERGENCE.  TORNADO THREAT WILL EXIST WITH THESE CELLS AS WELL AS
WITH SHALLOW EMBEDDED SUPERCELLS IN SQUALL LINE. 

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 0.5 INCH...EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 50 KNOTS.  A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 550.
