SOUTH CENTRAL KANE COUNTY IN UTAH * UNTIL 815 PM MDT THE HEAVY RAINFALL HAS ENDED IN THIS AREA...HOWEVER...EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THE RAIN IS STILL MOVING DOWN THE DRAINAGES. FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY OCCURRING OR WILL OCCUR ALONG THE PARIA RIVER AND ON BUCKSKIN GULCH IN THE PARIA CANYON PRIMITIVE AREA. IN ADDITION...THE WAHWEAP CREEK AND LAST CHANCE CREEK DRAINAGES THAT FLOW INTO LAKE POWELL WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE RAPID RISES. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. PERSONS ALONG THE ABOVE MENTIONED DRAINAGES SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
