THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN POLK COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 800 AM CDT

* AT 458 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM NEAR HUMANSVILLE 
  NORTHWESTWARD INTO SAINT CLAIR COUNTY. INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE 
  MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 4 TO 5 INCHES
  OF RAIN HAD FALLEN ALREADY THIS MORNING...AND ANOTHER 1 TO 2 
  INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE BY 6 AM.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH
  FLOODING INCLUDE...FAIR PLAY AND HUMANSVILLE.
