THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SAUK COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN
  WESTERN COLUMBIA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN

* UNTIL 500 AM CDT

* AT 200 AM CDT...FLASH FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN WISCONSIN DELLS ON 
HIGHWAY 12. 

* WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES ARE THAT 2 TO 2.5 INCHES   
OF RAINFALL FELL DURING THE PAST 1 HOUR ACROSS NORTHERN AND EASTERN 
SAUK COUNTY. THE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BRING POSSIBLE 
FLOODING RAINS TO WESTERN COLUMBIA COUTNY. THE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE 
LOCAL STREAMS AND RIVERS TO RISE RAPIDLY AND OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
