DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED TWO AREAS OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
MOVING FROM SOUTHERN PENNSYLVANIA INTO NORTHERN MARYLAND.  THE FIRST
AREA OF STORMS IS MOVING SOUTHEAST TOWARD THE WESTERN PANDHANDLE OF
MARYLAND AND THE FAR EASTERN PANHANDLE OF WEST VIRGINIA. THE SECOND
AREA OF STORMS IS MOVING INTO NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MARYLAND
TOWARD THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN AREA.

BOTH AREAS OF STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. WINDS UP TO 70 MPH
HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN EMMITSBURG IN FREDERICK COUNTY MARYLAND.
