AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOUISVILLE KY 300 AM EDT THU JUNE 21 2001 LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVING EAST INTO CENTRAL KENTUCKY ALONG AND AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT. SOME STORMS EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE. SOME SHOWERS EXPECTED TO PERSIST BEHIND FRONT AND WILL LEAVE A CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN OVERNIGHT. GREATEST THREAT OF SHOWERS WILL BE OVER THE NORTHERN PARTS OF THE FORECAST AREA WITH ONLY A FEW SHOWERS ACROSS THE SOUTH. MODELS GENERALLY SIMILAR...ENDING SHOWERS OVERNIGHT...THEN SLOWLY DECREASING CLOUDS FRIDAY AND HIGH BEGINS TO BUILD INTO LOWER OHIO VALLEY.
