AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL SWING SLOWLY EAST OVERNIGHT AND THEN NORTHEAST TOWARD THE GREAT LAKES REGION. SOUTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO DRAW GULF MOISTURE OVER THE AREA TONIGHT AND WILL BE IN PLACE AS A DISTURBANCE IN THE SUBTROPICAL JETSTREAM MOVES STEADILY EAST FROM CENTRAL TEXAS OVERNIGHT AND INTO SOUTHEAST TEXAS FRIDAY MORNING. ISOLATED ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE...MAINLY NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 10 CORRIDOR. A WEAK COLD FRONT MAY REACH INTO AREAS ALONG A LINE FROM NEAR WACO TO CROCKETT TO LUFKIN...THIS AREA MAY HAVE A GREATER CHANCE OF SEEING THE HEAVY RAINFALL.
