SOUTHEAST TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX 240 PM CDT TUE MAY 8 2001 KHGX...VIS/IR IMAGERY...AND NLDN SHOW SCT SHRA/TSRA IN TWO DIFFERENT PORTIONS OF SERN TX EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. ONE PORTION IS ALONG A WEAK BOUNDARY OVER THE NWRN CWA...THE OTHER ALONG THE SEA BREEZE. EXPECT SOME DEVELOPMENT INTO THE CNTRL SECTIONS LATE THIS AFTERNOON...THEN ALL OF THE ACTIVITY DYING OFF 1-2 HOURS AFTER SUNSET. THE MAIN FORECAST ISSUE IS LOW POPS THROUGH ALL PERIODS AND TEMPS IN THE EXTENDED. THE 12Z NCEP MODELS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT AND THE ETA/AVN TREND WELL INTO THE 00Z MRF.
