THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  HARRIS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  CHAMBERS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS

* UNTIL 400 AM CST

* AT 1250 AM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG 
THE I-10 CORRIDOR FROM PASADENA TO WINNIE. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES 
THAT 5 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE 6 PM AND AN ADDITIONAL 1 
TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE BY 5 AM.

CHAMBERS COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED THAT 6 TO 8 INCHES OF WATER COVER 
MANY ROADS THROUGH OUT THE COUNTY. NO ROADS ARE CLOSED AT THIS TIME 
BUT MOST ARE WATER COVERED INCLUDING HIGHWAY 124 NEAR WINNIE... 
HIGHWAY 146 NEAR MT. BELVIEU AND MILLER STREET IN ANAHUAC.

* FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN OR NEAR...
  CHANNELVIEW...BAYTOWN...ANAHUAC AND WINNIE.

DO NOT CROSS ANY LOCATION WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD WATER DEPTH 
IS VERY DIFFICULT TO JUDGE AT NIGHT. MORE LIVES ARE LOST IN FLOOD 
EVENTS THAN ANY OTHER WEATHER RELATED HAZARD. DONT BE A VICTIM.

IT UP AND RUNNING BY 900 PM. MY THNAKS TO CRP/LCH/SHV/EWX FOR
WATCHING OUR AREA. NEW ETA IS FOCUSING MOST OF THE HEAVY PRECIP TO
OUR EAST INTO LCH AND OVER THE GULF. STILL A GREAT DEAL OF S/WV
ENERGY TO THE WEST AND 50H TROF STILL WELL WEST MAKES ME A BIT
SKEPTICAL. ANYWAY HIGH POPS IN ORDER TONIGHT AS MORE CONVECTION ON
THE WAY. THE NORTHERN 2/3RDS OF THE AREA HAS RECEIVED 3 TO 5 INCHES
OF RAIN TODAY AND WITH MORE ON THE WAY...FEEL A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS
WARRANTED OVERNIGHT. WL TWEAK TEMPS A BIT AS LOWS ALREADY UNDER
