SW HALF OF THE CWA IS CURRENTLY UNDER A SVR TSTM WATCH. A COUPLE
CLUSTERS OF TSRA HAVE DEVELOPED IN THE THETA-E AXIS OVER SE TN...NE
GA AND WRN SC. THE ETA SEEMS TO HAVE A REASONABLY GOOD HANDLE ON
LOCATION OF H5 VORT CURRENTLY OVER CENTRAL KY. THIS FEATURE IS
PROGGED TO DROP ALMOST DUE S AROUND THE RETROGRADING H5 RIDGE. IN
FACT...BEST FORCING MAY MISS THE CWA TO THE W. THIS MAKES SENSE AS
THE BEST H8 THERMAL RIDGE WAS LOCATED A LITTLE SW OF CWA BASED ON
12Z HAND ANALYSIS. STILL...THERE SHOULD BE GOOD COVERAGE OVER THE
WRN ZONES UNTIL THE VORT SWINGS BY.

AFTER THAT THINGS BEGIN TO SLOWLY DRY OUT AS A L/W TROF BEGINS TO
DEEPEN OVER THE E. LOOKS LIKE TUE WL BE THE FIRST DAY IN A WHILE
WHERE WE WON/T HAVE MCS DEBRIS OVER MOST OF THE CWA. WHILE THE WND
FIELDS BECOME EVEN WEAKER THAN TDA...AND H5 TEMPS RISE TO AROUND
-4...DWPTS WL REMAIN HIGH...AND ADDED SUN MEANS JUST ABOUT ANYONE
COULD SEE SOME TSRA...JUST NOTHING ORGANIZED OR VERY LONG LIVED.
HENCE...30 POPS.

DRIER YET ON WED AS FRONT COMES THROUGH THE AREA. PRETTY GOOD
THICKNESS PACKING ON THE ETA...AND IT LOOKS LIKE EVEN THE BNDRY
LAYER DRIES OUT BY AFTN. HOWEVER...WED MAY BE OUR HOTTEST DAY OF
THIS WHOLE RECENT STRING OF DAYS. AT LEAST M90S...AND MAYBE A DEGREE
OR TWO MORE.

A VERY IFFY...BUT DRY...EXTENDED. FRONT STALLS QUITE CLOSE TO THE
AREA WED NGHT AND THU. SOME SIGN THAT AN MCS WL JUST CLIP THE WRN
ZONES WED NGHT...AND MAYBE AGAIN LATE THU. AFTER THAT LOOKS LIKE THE
TROF DEEPENS AND COOLER...DRY CONDITIONS WL PERSIST FOR SEVERAL DAYS
(STILL NEVER A COMPLETELY SAFE BET W/NW FLOW IN JULY).

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER THE
WESTERN CAROLINAS AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA...

A VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ACROSS THE
REGION THIS AFTERNOON. IN PARTICULAR...THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS...NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE UPSTATE WEST OF
GREENVILLE WILL HAVE THE GREATEST INSTABILITY. AREAS FARTHER TO THE
NORTH AND EAST ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE TOO MUCH CLOUD COVER TO BECOME
UNSTABLE THIS AFTERNOON.

WINDS IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE ATMOSPHERE ARE STRONGER THAN
ORIGINALLY EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON. AS A RESULT...AN ORGANIZED
COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP SOMEWHERE OVER THE REGION THIS
AFTERNOON. IF THE COMPLEX DOES DEVELOP...A RATHER LARGE AREA OF
DAMAGING WINDS WOULD RESULT.

EVEN IF THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MORE SCATTERED...INDIVIDUAL CELLS WILL
BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ISOLATED AREAS OF WIND DAMAGE. IN ADDITION
TO STRONG WINDS...THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY
RAIN...WHICH COULD CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING PROBLEMS...PARTICULARLY
IN THE MOUNTAINS. FOR THE MOST PART...LARGE HAIL IS NOT EXPECTED TO
BE A PROBLEM THIS AFTERNOON.

SPOTTER GROUPS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO ACTIVATE QUICKLY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. DISPATCHERS SHOULD ENSURE COUNTY
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ARE AWARE OF THIS INFORMATION.
