THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  INGHAM COUNTY 
  EASTERN OSCEOLA COUNTY 
  CLINTON COUNTY 
  GRATIOT COUNTY 
  EXTREME EASTERN MONTCALM COUNTY 
  EXTREME EASTERN MECOSTA COUNTY 
  ISABELLA COUNTY 
  CLARE COUNTY 

* UNTIL 830 PM EDT

* AT 520 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A 
  BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN 
  EXTENDING FROM EASTERN OSCEOLA COUNTY SOUTH INTO INGHAM COUNTY.  
  THIS LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO 
  THE EAST.  

  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT AS MUCH AS 3 TO 4 
  INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN BENEATH THIS BAND SINCE 3 PM.  RAINFALL 
  RATES IN EXCESS OF ONE INCH PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE AS THIS BAND 
  MOVES TO THE EAST. 

SPOTTER REPORTS INDICATE THAT SEVERAL ROADS HAVE BEEN WASHED OUT IN 
CLINTON AND GRATIOT COUNTIES.  

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
