AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS 603 PM MDT SUN APR 29 2001 OUTFLOW FROM THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX OVER SOUTHWEST KANSAS HAS HELPED TO INCREASE SOUTHERLY WIND SPEEDS OVER NORTHWEST KANSAS AND ADJACENT AREAS. HIGHEST SUSTAINED WINDS OF AROUND 35 MPH AT 5 PM MDT WERE AT KITR AND KGLD. EXPECT STRONG WINDS TO SPREAD EAST AND NORTHEAST TO MCCOOK AND HILL CITY AS COMPLEX MOVES EAST. BOUNDARY OF OUTFLOW/DRYLINE HAS BACKED UP INTO FAR EASTERN COLORADO. COLD FRONT PASSED KSNY AT 2200Z AND IS EXPECTED TO MOVE SOUTHEAST AND COLLIDE WITH BOUNDARY MOVING WEST AND NORTHWEST.
