FINALLY BREAKING OUT WITH KANE GULCH RAWS SW OF BLANDING RECEIVING
1.1 INCH IN AN HOUR. THIS WAVE OF WX MOVG NE ACROSS UTAH. BEST
CURRENT ACTIVITY MOVING TOWARDS WEST CENTRAL CO. THIS AREA MAY
HAVE MORE HEAVY RAIN PROBLEMS THAN OUR NORTHERN ZONES WHERE HPC HAS
PLACED OUR NW CWA IN EXCESSIVE RAIN AREA. WILL ADD HEAVY PRECIP
POSSIBLE BOTH AREAS...BUT HOLD OFF ON ANY ADVISORIES FOR NOW.

MODELS HINTING AT BRIEF RELIEF FROM CLDS/WX SUNDAY MORNING INTO MID
AFTERNOON. THIS BREAK MAY BE REASONABLE AFTER THE WORKING OVER THE
ATMOSPHERE IS GETTING TODAY.

MONSOONAL FLOW LOOKS A BIT DISCONNECTED PER SAT IMAGERY...BUT BEST
READ ON GUIDANCE KEEPS THE FETCH OVER EASTERN UTAH/ARIZONA AND THE
WEST SLOPE INTO THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK. IF THE FLOW DOES REMAIN
SPOTTY WILL SEE LESS CLOUDS...FEW STORMS...BUT THE ONE THAT
DEVELOP WILL HAVE GREATER POTENTIAL TO REACH STRONG OR SEVERE
LEVELS. DJC/21

EXTENDED: THE REGION REMAINS IN THE INTERACTION ZONE BETWEEN
WEST-COAST TROF AND SOUTH-PLAINS HIGH. MRF IS STILL TRYING
TO WORK THE TROF INLAND. THAT THE TROF IS ALONG THE WEST-COAST IS
CLIMATOLOGICALLY UNUSUAL...AND IT COMING INLAND EVEN MORE SO.
DRYING IS LIKELY IN STRENGTHENED SW FLOW...BUT POSSIBLY ONLY IN THE
MID-LEVELSh.  THIS WOULD LESSEN THE CHANCE OF HEAVY RAINS BUT
INCREASE STORM STRENGTH. SO THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUE.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE AT OR BELOW NORMAL WITH AFTERNOON BREEZES.
