MSAS ANALYSIS FOR LI/S ARE LOWERING AS CU FIELD DEVELOPS OVER MY SE
ZONES THIS AFTERNOON. A DRY LINE FROM GGW-MLS COMBINED WITH AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING IN FROM THE WEST SHOULD KICK OFF STORMS
ACROSS THIS AREA THIS EVENING. CAPES NEAR 1800 WITH LI/S ABOUT -4
SHOULD BRING SOME STORMS TO SEVERE LIMITS LATER THIS EVENING.
ZONAL FLOW CONTINUES ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH FRIDAY WITH WEAK
DISTURBANCES RIPPLING ACROSS THE AREA. BEST CAPES AND LI/S SHOULD OCCUR
OVER THE SE ZONES WITH CAPES AND LI/S PROBABLY ALLOWING FOR SOME
STORMS TO REACH SEVERE LIMITS. 700 MB TEMPS BELOW 10C AND FORECASTED
SOUNDINGS ACROSS THE CWA SHOW NO NEGATIVE ENERGY (OR CAP) THROUGH
FRIDAY. THEREFORE...WILL GO WITH 20 POPS FOR ALL BUT THE SE ZONES. THERE
I WILL MENTION A 30 POP FOR TONIGHT (WITH A MENTION FOR SEVERE) AND
AGAIN THURSDAY NIGHT. JAMBA
EXTENDED...GOOD CONTINUITY IN LONG RANGE MODELS CONTINUES BUT
AVN/MRF BEGINNING TO SLOW DOWN PROGRESSION OF THE GULFAK SYSTEM.
REGARDLESS...MT STILL IN STRONG SW FLOW ALOFT BY SAT WITH 20KT
SERLIES BRINGING IN MID-60S DEWPTS. CAPES OVER 2500 J/KG AND VERY
LOW LIS MAY SPELL TROUBLE FOR NEMONT SAT. LIMITING FACTOR SATURDAY
DAYTIME MAY BE HIGH HEIGHTS/WARM MID LEVELS BUT UNSEASONABLY STRONG
FROPA SAT NIGHT SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENUF OF A TRIGGER FOR SEVERE
CONVECTION. COOLER ON SUNDAY...THEN GRADUAL WARMING. SW FLOW ALOFT
PROVIDES TSTORM CHANCE FOR REST OF EXTENDED. WRIGHT
