NORTHERN ARIZONA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FLAGSTAFF AZ 230 PM MST SAT MAY 19 2001 SYNOPSIS...EXPECT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN ARIZONA THIS EVENING BUT TAPERING OFF TOWARD MORNING. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOST NUMEROUS OVER THE MOGOLLON RIM AND WHITE MOUNTAINS. ONLY ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ON SUNDAY...MAINLY NEAR THE NEW MEXICO BORDER WITH GENERALLY WARMER DAYTIME TEMPERATURES AS HIGH PRESSURE BEGINS TO BUILD. HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN FURTHER ON MONDAY WITH A DRY NORTHERLY FLOW. ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND DRY WEATHER ARE EXPECTED FOR THE WORK WEEK.
